The Florida Freedom is the official newsletter of the Florida Motorcycle Safety Program (FMSP), created for Florida’s community of motorcycle enthusiasts and motorists to help stay informed, connected, and safe. Inside, you’ll find highlights from safety outreach events, seasonal riding tips and resources, best roadway practices and more. These efforts support our ongoing mission to share motorcycle safety messaging statewide to prevent crashes and fatalities.
Florida is home to more than 662,000 registered motorcycles and 1.46 million endorsed. In partnership with ABATE of Florida (ABATE), the American Legion Riders – Department of Florida (ALR), and the Latin American Motorcycle Association (L.A.M.A.), we’re working together to keep riders informed and engaged all year-round. In 2024, Florida lost more than 600 motorcyclists and saw over 9,500 injuries. Remember, Life’s a Journey, Ride it Well.
